This simple tutorial shows you how to paint terracotta pots to create an indoor cat grass garden for your cats! A DIY project your cats are sure to love! #NutrishCatCrafts #ad

We have two cats who couldn’t be more opposite. Loucy is quiet and sleeps most of the day – she is truly the epitome of a cat. Then there is Skinny Cat, who is not very skinny anymore; she enjoys eating, getting into everything and anything, and will have a conversation with you, especially when it is about wet food or tuna.

They are both strictly indoor cats, however they love looking out the windows for birds and ground squirrels. They also love chewing on my plants and flowers. Maybe it makes them feel like they are out in the wild…who knows? But I do know that they can destroy a plant in a matter of minutes.  So I like to make sure they have access to cat grass which is safe for them to chew.

Most of the time, I just leave the cat grass in the pot it came in and put it on the floor for them to chew on for a few days. But this time, I thought it would be cute to use some bright colored pots to create an indoor cat grass garden, plus I could reuse them each time I buy a new batch of cat grass!

DIY Cat Grass Pots-8

I love how simple this project is, yet it adds some fun pops of color to the house! Plus I was able to get it done in about 30 minutes…even better! And Skinny gave two paws of approval when I placed the pots on the floor for her.

Speaking of Skinny Cat…she does not live up to her namesake. She’s a bit on the plumper side. And because of this, her vet suggested we try feeding her Zero Grain food. So when I came across the Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Zero Grain Food for Cats (Dry) in the Chicken & Potato Recipe while searching on Amazon, I decided to order some and give it a try!

And because both Skinny & Loucy enjoy a wet food treat every once in awhile, I also picked up some Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Grain Free Wet Food for Cats.

DIY Cat Grass PotsNot only is each delicious, wholesome recipe made with real chicken or seafood, but there are never any grains, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives, meat by-products, or fillers – just essential vitamins, minerals and taurine for a tasty food your cat will love.

And another thing I absolutely love is that Rachael’s personal proceeds go to Rachael’s Rescue, which was created to help shelter pets in need by providing food, medical supplies and treatments for these animals.

So you might be wondering…how did Skinny Cat like the food?

She gobbled it down and went looking for more on Loucy’s plate! They both gave it their cat-approval, two paws up!
