Count and Clip Cards: Christmas Reindeer

These Christmas themed count and clip cards are a fun, hands-on activity to help kids to develop and build their counting and fine motor skills. Counting cards are also a great way to work on their understanding of one to one correspondence.

Count and clip cards are great for math centers and learning at home — they are also the perfect size for a preschool busy bag on the go! Place the cards and a handful of clothespin into a ziplock bag and you have a fun, portable learning activity for the kids to work on while waiting for an appointment, at a siblings’ practice, or even at a restaurant.

Printable Christmas Count and Clip Cards

These cards are super easy to make…just print then cut out each card. I like to laminate mine to make them extra durable, plus it gives me a reason to use my favorite laminator! Using cardstock also helps make them last a bit longer when being used by little hands.

This printable set of Christmas reindeer count and clip cards includes twelve cards featuring different ocean animals to help kids practice numbers 1-12. These cards are great for learning at home or in the classroom, used independently or even with a partner during centers.

HOW TO MAKE COUNT AND CLIP CARDS

  • Print out the count and clip cards on cardstock or regular printer paper.
  • Laminate the full sheet.
  • Cut out each card by following the outline.
  • Place in a bin or bag with clothespins for quick and easy set-up.
  • Have kids count the number of ornaments each reindeer is holding and clip the clothespin onto the corresponding number.

It’s also fun to use different manipulatives besides clothespins with these cards. Christmas themed mini erasers or shatterproof plastic ornaments would make for some cute alternatives!
