Duct Tape Pen PouchesEvery year I feel like I’m saying how fast summer flies by and this year is no different. Especially when I start to see all of the back-to-school supplies areas being set up in the stores. And even though I’m no longer teaching in the classroom, I still get a little giddy when I walk up and down the school supplies aisles.

Fun, colorful pens are by far my biggest weakness! So these days, I find any blogging or crafting excuse to buy new pens. The little guy will be starting preschool in just a few weeks, so we hit up the school supplies aisle.  And while we were shopping the back to school area, I came across the Pilot G2 Pens.

With four point sizes and 15 vibrant colors, Pilot G2 Pens are America’s #1 selling gel ink brand. My favorites include turquoise and pink – my signature colors! And with all of the pens I now have after my little school supplies shopping spree, I need a place to keep them. Enter the duct tape pen pouch!

Directions

Start by deciding how large you want your pen pouch to be and then trim off the extra on the zipper bag at the bottom. I made mine about 4 inches long to be able to hold lots of supplies and pens.

Start adding strips of duct tape to the zipper bag, making sure not to cover the zipper part. I find it easiest to cut the duct tape using the scissors so you get clean lines.

Keep adding more duct tape until both sides of the pouch are covered. For the bottom, fold over a piece of duct tape so it attaches to both sides to make sure nothing falls out when you are using it!

And that’s it! A quick 10 minute craft that is perfect to make with the kiddos as a back-to-school project. Or even a fun little gift they can give their friends.

Fill it with a few Pilot G2 Pens and you are all set!

I love that the Pilot G2 Pens have smooth writing gel ink and a comfortable grip which makes it super easy to use right out of the package. Those pens that you have to scribble on paper for five minutes to get the ink flowing…my arch nemesis. And these do not bleed through the paper which makes them perfect to use for writing in my planner!

G2 has been proven to write longer than all other gel brands, so finally there is a pen that can keep up with all of my planner and to-do list writing!
